Kate Nieland Professional Female Voice Over Artist

The About me bit

My background as a professional actor means I know how to use my voice to tell a story, to create believable and memorable characters. I’m also a big fan of old-school studio etiquette. I always turn up on time, I respect my producers, and I can often nail what’s needed in just one take.

I’ve trained with comedy improv group Monkey Toast and physical theatre company Frantic Assembly, experiences that encouraged my creativity. I worked for seven years as a voiceover artist in live broadcasting, learning to think on my feet and stay focused under pressure- and if you want to know if I ever made a mistake live on-air, I’ll tell you when we chat ;)

My experience ranges from corporate training videos and big brand TV adverts to radio drama and character work, which has made me flexible and versatile. And I’ve sat in the Director’s chair on more than one occasion, so I know the pressures and processes on that side of the glass.

My Home Studio is a bespoke build, and has been delivering broadcast quality audio for years. If you fancy, you can dial in for a live directed session via Source Connect Now or Cleanfeed (or another link of your choice). And I am ready to go full on Source Connect Standard with international clients. Or take the pressure off yourself, and let me do all the recording whilst you listen in and direct via zoom, Skype or good old fashioned mobile phone (did I just call mobile phones old fashioned..?). Much of my work is self directed, and I always welcome client feedback.

So if you’re keen to hear me in action, you can check out my demo reels or my portfolio page. If you want more details of my acting experience, you can take a look at my profile in Spotlight. Or if you don’t need any of that because you already reckon I’d be a good fit for your project, let’s chat.

And a free, bespoke demo is always a pleasure. Just let me know.
